The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the armed attack that targeted a school in central Nigeria, which led to the death of a student and the abduction of dozens of students and teachers.

In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, regardless of the motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Nigeria, and its hope for an urgent release of the abducted and their safe return to their families.
