The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the two attacks that targeted a restaurant in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, and a prison in the city of Bosaso, in the north of the country, which left dozens dead and wounded.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position of rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the families of the victims and to the government and people of Somalia, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
