The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the shooting incident in Virginia Beach in the United States, causing deaths and injuries.

In a statement today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance rejecting violence, terrorism and criminal acts, whatever the motives and reasons.

It affirmed its full solidarity with the US government in all measures taken to maintain security and stability.

The statement expressed the condolences of the State of Qatar to the victims' families, the government and the people of the United States, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
