The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the bombings that targeted two security checkpoints in Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, and a Kenyan a police vehicle near the border between the two countries, resulting in a number of deaths and injuries.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm stance in rejecting violence and terrorism regardless of the motives and causes.

The Ministry expressed the State of Qatar's condolences to the families of victims as well as the governments and peoples of Somalia and Kenya, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
