The State of Qatar condemned the attack on a military base that includes the United Nations peacekeepers in northern Mali and resulted in injuries.

In a statement on Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar's firm position on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of the motives and reasons.

The statement expressed the wishes of the State of Qatar of a speedy recovery for the injured.
