Qatar Strongly Condemns Attack in Pakistan

The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack that targeted a hotel in Quetta city in Pakistan, which resulted in deaths and injuries.


Joint Statement on the Postponement of the Istanbul Conference of Afghanistan Peace Process

Turkey, Qatar and the United Nations had planned to co-convene a high-level conference in Istanbul, from 24 April to 4 May 2021, with the participation of the representatives of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Taliban to add momentum to the negotiations that started in Doha last September to achieve a just and lasting peace in Afghanistan.



Joint Statement by Co-conveners of the Istanbul Conference on the Afghanistan Peace Process

The Republic of Turkey, the State of Qatar, and the United Nations are co-convening a high level and inclusive conference from 24 April – 4 May 2021 between representatives of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the Taliban. Turkey is hosting the conference in Istanbul. The co-conveners are committed to supporting a sovereign, independent and unified Afghanistan.

The State of Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack on the Natanz nuclear facility in Iran, and considered it a dangerous act of sabotage that would increase tension and negatively affect the security and stability of the region.
