The State of Qatar expressed its strong denunciation and condemnation of Israeli shelling of Gaza Strip in which a number of Palestinians were martyred and others were injured, considering it a crime against humanity and a flagrant violation of international conventions and laws.

The Arab League held an emergency meeting at the level of foreign ministers to discuss the latest developments of the Palestinian issue. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas attended the meeting.

The State of Qatar participated in the Arab-Russian Cooperation Forum held in Moscow, with a delegation chaired by HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi. The two-day forum was attended by HE Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and foreign ministers from 13 Arab countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of Human Rights held today at the ministry's headquarters a workshop in cooperation with Geneva Institute for Human Rights, the UN Human Rights Training Centre for South-West Asia and the Arab Region. The workshop was on the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) mechanism adopted by the UN. Representatives of different ministries, institutions, and civil society organizations are taking part in the event.

Arab foreign ministers concluded their preparatory meeting for the 30th Arab summit on Friday, with the adoption of a final draft of the declaration to be submitted to Arab leaders for approval.

The preparatory meeting of the Arab foreign ministers for the 30th Arab Summit, which will be held on Sunday, started at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis.

Arab Ministers of Trade, Economy and Finance met on Thursday under the chairmanship of the Tunisian Minister of Commerce Omar Behi to prepare for the 30th Arab Summit which will be held on Sunday.
