The State of Qatar has welcomed the agreement of parties of war in Yemen on the cease-fire in the city of Hodeidah as an important step towards ending this absurd war, which the brotherly Yemeni people suffering , and praised the active role played by the UN envoy, Martin Griffith, in bringing together the views and making this round of negotiations a success.

The State of Qatar participated in the 38th Session of the Council of Arab Social Affairs Ministers in Egyptian city of Sharm El Sheikh on Wednesday.

Meetings of the 31st session of the Council of Arab Transport Ministers kicked off in Alexandria on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Morocco.HE Ambassador and Qatar's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi is heading the delegation of the State of Qatar to the meetings.

The State of Qatar participated in the celebration of the Arab Document Day, which was held on Wednesday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League under the title "Jerusalem the Eternal Capital of Palestine".

The State of Qatar has affirmed Saturday its commitment to empowering women and providing support that will enhance their political, social, economic and cultural rights which is reflected in Qatar National Vision 2030 and national development strategies. It also affirmed commitment to implementing the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women .

The meeting of Arab League foreign ministers to discuss the lack of financial support threatening the United Nation Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) was held Tuesday at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League, which is prior to the meeting of the Council of the Arab League at its 150th session on the ministerial level, chaired by Sudan, with the participation of Arab ministers of foreign affairs or their representatives and the presence of the Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit.

HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi participated Tuesday in the work of the consultative meeting of the Arab Foreign Ministers held prior to the meeting of the Council of the Arab League at its 150th session at the ministerial level, chaired by Sudan.

HE Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi met on Monday with Their Excellences ambassadors of friendly African countries accredited to the state.

The State of Qatar has called on the Human Rights Council and its affiliated mechanisms to pay adequate attention to the violations of the siege countries and to immediately end them, hold those responsible accountable and to compensate those affected in a fair manner.
