HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani affirmed that ending impunity through achieving justice and accountability is an essential part of sustainable peace in Syria and a guarantee for the protection of human rights.

The State of Qatar announced this year a contribution of $100 million to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Wednesday with HE NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, during a visit His Excellency made to NATO headquarters in Brussels.

An official from the Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Albanian authorities decided to exempt citizens of the State of Qatar, who intend to travel to the Republic of Albania, from obtaining a visa starting from April 1, 2019. The decision is valid until October 31, 2019.

The United States of America and the Taliban held a round of peace talks between the 25th of February to the 12th of March 2019 in Qatar, in continuation of the last round of peace talks that took place between the 21st to the 26th of January 2019.
