Permanent Representative to Geneva Affirms Qatar's Commitment to Support UN Missions and Activities

HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva Ambassador Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri stressed that the State of Qatar values its strategic partnership with the United Nations and has always worked towards achieving its objectives, including maintaining the international peace and security, supporting international development efforts, promoting and protecting human rights, providing humanitarian relief, and participating in collective efforts and initiatives to address current and emerging challenges facing the world.

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met on Thursday with HE U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad, U.S. Army General Scott Miller, Commander of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization's (NATO) forces in Afghanistan, and the Deputy Commander of the Taliban Movement for Political Affairs and Head of Taliban Political Office, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar.
