Qatar Calls on India and Pakistan to Exercise Restraint

The State of Qatar has announced that it is monitoring the developments in the Republic of India and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with great concern and called on all parties to exercise restraint and to give voice to wisdom.



Qatar Supports UN Humanitarian Response Plan for Yemen in 2019 with $ 27 Million

The State of Qatar has announced the support of the United Nations Humanitarian Response Plan for Yemen in 2019 with US $ 27 million. It noted that Qatari charities will coordinate with United Nations organizations and agencies and other humanitarian organizations in order to finance various humanitarian and service programs and projects in Yemen.



Qatar Hosts New Round of Talks between United States and Taliban Movement

The State of Qatar hosted today a new round of talks between the United States and the Taliban Afghan Movement in continuation of the previous round of talks between the two parties which took place from January 21 to 26, aimed at achieving peace and stability in Afghanistan.


Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs : Qatar Witnesses Significant Developments in Legislative Field for Human Rights Promotion and Protection

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani said that last year witnessed significant developments in the legislative field for the promotion and protection of human rights in the State of Qatar, namely the State's accession to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights as well as the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the promulgation of the Law on the Regulation of Political Asylum.


Qatar Partakes in Arab-European Summit

The State of Qatar participated in the first Arab-European summit held on Sunday in Sharm El Sheikh with a delegation chaired by HE Qatar's Permanent Representative to the Arab League Ambassador Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al Sahlawi.



Qatar Condemns Attack Near Al-Azhar in Cairo

The State of Qatar expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the explosion that took place near Al-Azhar Mosque in the Egyptian capital Cairo, killing two policemen and wounding three officers.
