The State of Qatar strongly condemned the attack on a military checkpoint of the Egyptian army near El Arish airport in North Sinai, killing and injuring a number of military personnel.

Senior U.S. officials came to Doha to engage with their Qatari counterparts on numerous aspects of the robust bilateral relationship, including: regional security and defense cooperation, education and culture, law enforcement and counterterrorism partnerships, commercial and energy cooperation, and labor issues.
