HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi met Wednesday with HE Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator for Somalia, Peter de Clercq, who is currently visiting Doha.

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Wednesday witnessed the signing of cooperation arrangements between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European External Action of the European Union, held at the European Commission headquarters in Brussels.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani met Monday with HE the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and Emergency Relief Coordinator Mark Lowcock, and HE UN Secretary-General's Humanitarian Envoy Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Muraikhi.

The State of Qatar stressed that the protection and promotion of human rights is a strategic choice and is one of the cornerstones of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Qatar Committee for the Alliance of Civilizations launched the Alliance of Civilization award in cooperation with Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, during an event that was held on Sunday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani will head on Monday to Belgium for an official visit, followed by a state visit to the Republic of Bulgaria.

HE Lulwah Rashid Al Khater, the official spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, has affirmed Qatar's continued welcome to the Kuwaiti mediation to solve the Gulf crisis, while also expressing her hope for a response and interaction of the siege countries with this mediation by taking serious steps to get out of the crisis.
